Of course I first tried to make one of these, but it ended up being too big, so I scrapped it and went with a skirt. I know, I'm crazy, but whatever.
She loves the skirt and cried when I made her take it off after the little photoshoot. Now it's all ready for getting grubby in the sandbox. This project was just one project in a series of many that I've had lately that have come out quite differently than I expected, but at least this one is usable!
{I'm really laughing right now at the weird angles I took these pics at, makes E look like a little person! She is small for her age, but definitely not a dwarf. :) }

she is adorable. i love her little skirt. i don't blame her for not wanting to take it off.
ReplyDeletefunny, i thought the same thing 'just enough leftover for little one to have a skirt' My girls are 5.5 and 2.5. In then end, i decided little one didnt care if she had a skirt or not so i used the scraps (Go By Bike) to decorate cloth diapers as burp rags.
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is so sweet and I love the pocket! My girls are the same way, as soon as I make something for them to wear, they don't want to take it off. And of course I have to make sure that they each have one. :)
ReplyDeleteShe is a cutie! Love the skirt even if the popover was a failure. ;0)
ReplyDeleteThe skirt is great. Good recovery. The the Heather Ross fabric too.

Really it was a bit mean of you to suggest taking it off anyway! So funny what we make our girls do sometimes. I think the skirt is so cute, way cuter than the dress any day. I never make skirts but seeing that one I'm tempted to now.
ReplyDeleteIt really is adorable. The pop of yellow!!!
ReplyDeleteI think it is really cute!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing such cute sewing these days! I've had to miss my blogs and have missed all the cute things you have done!
