A little late in wrapping up this project, but I love it’s simple style. Grosgrain did yet another fabulous Frock by Friday sew-a-long and it was just too fun to pass up. I chose this beautiful print by Naomi Ito.
And for the record it’s the most expensive piece of clothing I own now. I think it’ll be really great in all seasons. Maybe with a cardigan and tights for winter?

Love the way it turned out

Cute dress – I’m glad you posted some in color so I could figure out what color it was!!! Wow, can you jump, girl!!! I always enjoy your posts. I’m glad you made something for yourself … you deserve it!
Ooooo, Anna!! I love it! That fabric is beautiful and you are quite the jumper! I have yet to make mine… I have the fabric (I think it’s enough… did you use as much fabric as the pattern called for?).
Awww, love, love, love it!!! I was just thinking to myself that I should try out that pattern…now I really want to do it 🙂 Great fabric choice too, btw!
Oh, I love it! Great fabric choice! And your pics are adorable–I love the first one especially. So pretty! Makes me excited to make it when I finally get around to it.
I wish I looked that cool when I jumped. The dress is awesome. When life is a little less intense it’s time to do some sewing for me.
Love it! Great fabric and fun pictures!
this is gorgeous!!! i love the jump shots
Really beautiful, and that color looks fantastic on you.
gorgeous!! and what great photos. you look so pretty. 🙂
I love the dress and the cute photos! Now that I see everyone’s finished frocks, I wish I had participated in this one.
Did you use a double gauze? I have some Nani Iro double gauze that a friend brought back from Japan for me. I just can’t find the perfect patterns to justify cutting into it! (Well, except for 1 print. Which I made into a skirt, that I happen to be wearing right now!)
Beautiful Anna and I love seeing you in some photos! :). Comfortable PLUS cute clothing is the best.
Absolutely nice!!! The print is perfect for the dress pattern and it doesn’t even look like it is hand-made! I’d buy one if I saw it a store! You look so happy and that makes me smile 😉
great fabric. I’d really like to try one for myself. I have about a million other things piled in front of it though. never stopped me before. ha.
Wow – you’re a good jumper! That’s a lovely dress and the colour is great on you.
What beautiful fabric!!! The dress is gorgeous. I love the pictures…they are fun!
This one has been on my to-do list as well! It looks gorgeous on you Anna. Perfect fabric, perfect stitching.

Loving the jumping photos. Glad to see a dress has made you that happy! x.
Adorable dress. But even cuter jumping seamstress! Good for you sewing a dress for yourself.
what a great choice of fabric! looks great on you, and to have a ‘custom’ piece of clothing be your most expensive is pretty special.
Glad to see you made something for yourself, we so often forget to do that as crafters 🙂
Those jumps are the jumps of a dancer, no? Beautiful! I just discovered Burda and need to spend some time there. Hmmm…time…. not on my side these days. I’m posting about pouches today- I’ll email you when it’s up!
