I had joined the Pincushion Pass wayyy back when. With the looming deadline, I finally got inspired by all the cute pincushions in the flickr pool. Especially the minis by chickenfoot! Aren’t they cute?! I think the pastel-ish color palette I used makes these look like candy.
Definitely could not make up my mind which style I wanted to try out first, so I figured, why not try them all? Hope my partner will enjoy them.
I think they’d be fun kept together on the cool dish, or if she wants, she can separate them.

I scaled the pattern pieces down to 85% so that it would flow with the other pincushions. And I made the top piece patchwork as well.
Using a 5 inch diameter circle.

Also wanted to sneak in this super mini pincushion that kind of happened by accident. I just wanted to try out Creative Kismet’s tutorial, but made the circle diameter 3 inches across instead of 6, and it is small!
Don’t you just want to reach out and take a bite out of them?
Oh Anna, those are adorable!! Serious eye candy! They are each just so cute and perfect. I have Heather Bailey’s pin cushion pattern (the one with the pear, apple, and tomato) sitting on my sewing table as we speak. I never seem to get around to making them, but you just may have given me the push I needed. Great job!!

Those are really beautiful! Love the colors and fabrics!
Wow! Your post is timely! I’ve been poking around the ‘net this morning looking for pincushion patterns. These look perfect and yours are beautiful! Thanks for posting 🙂
These are so cute! I love the colors. I love the button details. That plate is really cool too. Thanks for links to the tutorials…I am going to have to make some of these for myself. What did you stuff them with?
They are adorable so so cute they look almost edible!

So cute! They are fun to look at!
Definitely cute enough to eat!
Oh those are so cute. They look like Candy! I want to eat one.
very cute!
Anna, those are really cute!! I love how they are displayed on a dish. I don’t really use a pin cushion. What you’ve created may be the incentive I need! Even when pins don’t really make it back in the container and somehow find their way to the floor.
Those are so adorable. You might have just inspired me to make yet another pincushion!
These are the cutest and most delicious pincushions I’ve ever seen!
They are really cute! And on the same time really sophisticated! That balance is difficult to keep and they have it 🙂
They look scrumptious! And oh, so sweet. Displaying them on the plate is inspired.
oh Anna – these are just lovely! And yes, I do want to reach out and take a bite…they are so sweet.
How cute! Love your fabric and trim choices.
These are so cute. I love that fabric combo.
They’re so pretty! I’d be afraid to stick them with a bunch of pins and hide their beauty!
I think your creative ideas were a major score for this Pin Cushion Pass! Lucky recipient!
These look like they would be delicious to eat! Or maybe to wash with? Either way, they are delicious. x
Those are the cutest little pin cushions! I love them all lined up on that plate.
They are adorable, and together on that plate they are even more gorgeous. Cute!
Simply adorable!
Yes, I want to eat them all! So cute and yummy-looking!
