A staple in our house. When we run out of leggings to wear I know it’s been too long since I’ve done laundry. And yes, most of the time I’m perfectly happy buying them at target or old navy. But since I have the pattern and it’s kids clothes week, I figured I might as well use up some knits!
I had gotten the polka dots at Hobby Lobby a looong time ago. It’s not really a high quality knit, but it’ll work for these four little legs.

I did choose to make the waist bands taller on both pairs like Ashley suggests, seems to help make them stay put better. And making these are just why I love my serger that much more.
Super cute!
Cute!!! I’m ready for cool enough weather to be able to throw a pair of leggings on Syd every day. Did you just use regular knits for the waistband or the ribbed stuff? I can’t get the ribbed stuff around here unless I cut something up I guess. I did a casing and elastic and would rather skip that next time.
these are so i cute…i am getting serger envy seeing all these great projects that it would make such a difference on.
I love those! I also love that your girls are like mine and absolutely can not hold still for a photo. Is the pattern fairly easy? Can you do it if you don’t have a serger?
Cute! Love the polka dots. My little girl is obsessed with polka dots right now!
cute, i like the waistband!
Hobby Lobby needs to open one near Philly. People always show the cutest knit prints they find there!
they look super cute!
Polka dots. Leggings. It’s times like these I really wish I had a daughter! 😉
I love these! What a great polka dot fabric. I wish they had a Hobby Lobby here.
Those dots are so cute. Nice work!
so cute!! I love them! great fabric selection
Cute leggings. We must be on the same wavelength. First we both do Oliver + S now both Lil Blue Boo. Just posted some pics of a Sienna dress. I need to make leggings too – just got some pink polka dot knit with that in mind. Too funny.
Love that fabric! We have the same situation with leggings in our house, one can never have too many obviously 🙂 I need to make some more but I always have a fit issue around the top as Hazel likes to push them down under her tummy – no high waists for her! I need to alter the pattern I use properly to reflect that instead of just winging it each time and then having to redo them at least once. 😛 I like the look of that wide waistband though, I wonder if I could sneak one past Hazel while she wasn’t watching…
these are adorable!!! might have to give that pattern a go 🙂
*sigh* I need to ask Santa for a serger.
Cute!
Very sweet! I love the movement in the photos!
love the polka dots!! I fall in love with my serger more and more every time I use it!
Leggings are a staple for anyone who has daughters!! Sometimes, I feel like I am old navy’s economic stimulus plan. I love your dots and you’ve reminded me that I really should make my own. Love them!
I just made some today for my girls and I wish I would have known to make the waist band longer. Love the polka dots.
So cute! I want some! 🙂 How I wish I had a serger.

ah super cute! I love the polka dots!
Those turned out so cute – my girl wear a lot of leggings too… I should make some! Where do you find high quality knits? I have a HL nearby so I tend to go there, but the knits are pretty threadbare.
Adorable! Which pattern did you use?
hey sarah, it’s the lil leggings pattern by lil blue boo (links are above in the post). 🙂
I love leggings in fall! They’re so much easier to find the right fit on little girls than jeans.
These leggings are too cute! I’m going to have to check out that pattern.
super cute leggings! I need to try this one.
