Okay, I'm sure some of you will laugh at this. But anyway. I never go to thrift stores, sure I think it would be fun and love to hunt for treasures, but really, I just don't take the time. I've tried hitting garage sales around the area this summer with not much success. I looked all summer for an upholstered chair or something I could re-cover.
Then we stumbled upon this gem:
My mom and I were shopping up in Minneapolis and we drove by a garage sale on the way to our next stop. At first I said, "oh let's stop, they have furniture!" and then "no don't stop, I don't want to take the time." Luckily my mom stopped anyway and we were just going to do a drive by to check things out when I spotted the bench! I jumped out of the car and pretended no to jump for joy when I saw it was only $8.
So there you have it, it's my find of the year and I plan on recovering it, but first I just want to stare at it for a while.
In other news, I'm back to work 3 days a week now instead of 2, so I'm still struggling with the adjustment. Who would have thought that adding one more day would make such a difference?
I also have a fun something coming up for next week hopefully, so I'll just be crossing my fingers hoping that I get over this cold I've got so I can get the project finished up! I don't think I've sewn anything in 5 days, now that's a record!
