Just a simple peasant style tunic/dress/whatever you want to call it. Some knit striped leggings made from a dress I bought for a few bucks at old navy and a cute little corduroy belt.

Natalie's been into belts lately, so I thought she'd like it with this top, to make it look less like a potato sack. The top is made with a double gauze Trefle print by Kokka that I picked up a Crafty Planet a while back.
She wore it to school - so that's a good sign!

Cutie patootie!
ReplyDeleteOf course she wore it to school-it's great outfit. The striped leggings are perfect with that cute top!
ReplyDeleteReally cute! I wanna make some of these girls dresses for me! Wish some of them came in adult sizes! :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable!
ReplyDeleteLove the leggings...and she really pulls off the belt with panache!
ReplyDeleteThat is too cute. She has an amazing smile to go with that super cute dress.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute outfit! I love it!!! And she looks so happy and comfortable in it, always a good sign :)

super cute! and I love the leggings with it!
ReplyDeleteOh, how I love your leggings...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I especially like your fabric choices. I also agree with the belting idea, since my husband commented my little girl's peasant dresses look like muu muus.
ReplyDelete*sigh* double gauze..... so soooo soft. I wish I could wear double gauze jammies all day long.
ReplyDeleteCute! Love it with the belt. It looks very fall-ish.
ReplyDeleteThat is too cute and why stop!!!
ReplyDeleteThat girl's stylin' Anna!!
ReplyDeleteOoh! Ooh! I want those leggings for ME! Very cute outfit Anna. Your daughter is so cute and stylish too. :)
ReplyDeleteLoverly. I can't wait to get some sewing done for my kiddos. Hopefully next week. Isn't the best when you know your kids love what you make for them?
ReplyDeleteWearing it to school is the _ultimate_ compliment in our household :) I love the stripy leggings, I must get on and make some. If I tell her they're kind of Cat in the Hat she might go for it. The top is lovely too. Is the belt attached? Do you like the double gauze to sew with? I did a top out of it for KCWC and generally I really liked it, though it presented challenges you don't get with regular cottons! (sorry, I just realised how many questions there are in this comment)
ReplyDeleteVery cute. I love the colours of the little tunic. And she looks adorable. :-)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Great work! The fabric couldn't be better.
ReplyDeleteAnna--These are my most favorite types of outfits! She looks awfully comfy, perfect for somersaults and hiding in couch cushion forts. Darling.
ReplyDeletewow Anna! Just wow! With your sewing skills and eye for fabrics, your girls are going to be wanting you to sew for them well into their 30's, lol! Nice. So very cute.
ReplyDeleteI love this! that is really cute!! my daughter is way into stripes so those leggings! After seeing your daughters "jeggings" I cut up a pair of my old stretchy jeans and made some for my daughter. :)
