flower power

11.19.2010

Oh yeah baby!  A little flower action heading into winter isn't such a bad thing.  Brings a little smile to my face every time I walk by it in fact.

When I saw Allison's pillow tutorial way back when, I knew I'd be making one.  And I finally found the felt color that I wanted to use for the petals, a lovely shade of gray.  Not your typical flower color, but beautiful and modern none the less.

Not sure where this little gem will reside, but I did catch my husband laying on it the other night and scolded reminded him that those were the kind of pillows to look at, not to smash up on.  Sorry Buttercup.

Happy Friday everyone, have a wonderful crafty weekend, I know you're all busy preparing for Thanksgiving and working diligently on your Christmas projects.  :)

  3. That's funny, I was only looking at CluckCluckSew's red one about 5 mins ago! I had never noticed it before! Love the grey...on the touch of gold/yellow. You are very patient with all those petals!

  7. That's lovely! Reminds me of this christmas tree one I saw in Crate&Barrel's catalog: http://www.crateandbarrel.com/decorating-and-accessories/decorative-pillows/merrie-12%22-pillow/s647139
I also thought of you today while making thanksgiving napkins and linen table runner. If you want to see it, don't click on my blog, because I'm not a blogger and you'll see pictures of my kids that are two years old! :)

  11. Gorgeous! I'm so glad that we're moving into a new house that will have a guest room so that I can finally make some "decorative" pillows. Our bed never gets made, so there's not much of a point to have them right now!

  20. Hi, I'll be #26 to tell you that the grey was the perfect choice. This definitely makes my list of top 5 favorite pillows in crafty land. Now I'm off to redesign an entire room in my house so I can make grey accessories :)
