I just finished this bag last night! I love it!!! i really love that my sons sippy cups fit in the side pocket :) thanks for another great pattern!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this pattern - on my list of "must get!" Can I make a suggestion for your patterns? You might want to include approximate finished sizes - gives people a better idea of the size. my daughter loves the tote - she's 14 and into taking a different purse/bag to school every day. Her first question when I asked if she liked it was "how big is it?" LOL

ReplyDeletesuch a great pattern - very easy to follow, even for me who is a total beginner :-) you can see my bag here
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteIt´s midnight here in Berlin and I just finished my 241 bag - which pattern I bought last week.
I love it! To the 2 pockets in the outside I also put 4 more pockets in the inside. Tomorrow with daylight I will make fotos.
Thank you for the wonderful pattern!
Greetings from Berlin, Germany,
Susuko.
I am thinking of buying this pattern but would like to know the finished dimentions first. Can you tell me how big it is?
ReplyDeletehey anonymous, I've got to print out my pattern pieces and check - gave all my sample bags away! :)
ReplyDeleteokay, sorry it took me sooo long!
ReplyDeleteapproximate finished size:
12" wide
13" tall
15" handle drop
there are nice sized darts that give the bag a nice capacity...
:)
I love the shape of this bag. I have just bought and printed the pattern, hope to start sewing tomorrow morning as it's a bit too late today.
ReplyDeleteAnd done. I enjoyed making it very much.
ReplyDeleteIf you'd like to check it out, it's here: http://quiltmaybe.blogspot.com/2011/09/bags-my-very-third.html
Made my first one and oh so easy. I can see many Christmas gifts being made this year!
ReplyDeleteI really love this bag! I made it yesterday and LOVE it. The side pockets take keys and spex, the shape is perfect - the little darts make it stand upright, too. Just the right size and length of strap. I am so pleased I bought the pattern, it would have taken years to make without! Worth every penny! I've bought the Go Anywhere as well, but I'm going to make another 241 with fabric from deckchairstripes.com. Can't wait for it to arrive.
ReplyDeleteI've made another two of these - getting really good at it now! - and they look completely different in the different fabrics. My only problem is which one to choose!
ReplyDeleteI made this bag a few days ago and i love it. plans to make for gifts soon!!! i even blogged about it myself.

ReplyDeleteJust bought the pattern and can't wait to make it!!
ReplyDeleteJust saw this via Poppyprint's blog; I'm on my iPhone now but the next time I'm on a PC, I am definitely buying this pattern!
ReplyDeleteI came, I saw I bought!!!
ReplyDeletevery cute bag!
ReplyDeleteWhy can't one make patterns to sell from this? I don't understand as there is no copyright on bag patterns.
ReplyDeleteHi Toby,
DeleteAll my patterns include the rights to sell finished items. Is that what you mean?
Do you ever have contests to win patterns? I don't sell things I make, I make things for myself as sewing has been part of my recovery after a motorcycle accident and I am head over heels over this pattern and could see it as a future diaper bag if we can still have children but as stupid as it sounds, $8 is a fortune for me. I use a lot of old clothes and bed sheets to make bags and clothing for myself and kids. If you ever have a contest, I would love to try to win this pattern. Let me know. Lbherre@yahoo
