curlicue baby quilt

This little number is going out to a very special baby girl - one who fought for her life the very first few weeks (and won!). Babies are always so inspiring and this one is no exception.

Sorry for the lack of words in this post, but I would like to say although this quilt might seem complicated with it's curved pieces, it's actually quite forgiving.

I have a little extra project I made to go along with it, but it'll have to wait for another post, we're off to play!  And to make you laugh, here's a little outtake, I think a bug must have ran into my face.

  9. Beautiful quilt. I'm so happy the story has a happy ending, that she fought and won. We take healthy babies and uncomplicated deliveries for granted. Hope things will continue in a good way for her.

  36. This completely took me by surprise! I've been drawn to this pattern before, but only have seen it as a big quilt. For me, it's so much more enticing small. What a sweet gift! So fitting in vintage fabrics.

  38. I love it so much I had to post it on pintrest! It's so easy on the eye - I'd so far only seen this pattern made up in quite busy bright fabrics (which I also loved), but this is so serene looking - perfect for calming a little one!
