A few people have asked if I was ever going to do a linky party for my
Simplicity Skirt Sew-along I hosted a few weeks ago, so here we are!
Hopefully I know how to do this, so if you have any questions let me know. I can't wait to see you made!!! PS. If you link up I might just be able to do something special for those who enter, like a cool giveaway or something. Thank you!
I love the one I made - might need to make another one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing a link party. Love to see what everyone made.
ReplyDeleteI need to start mine still! In the new year! :) I feel very confident about making it now, thanks to your Sew Along!
ReplyDeleteI need to make a skirt or 2 for granddaughter for Christmas presents but they won't be Simplicity ones. They are out of a series of crafts books I've had for 30 years but are a similar style with separate waistbands, a zipper and optional pockets.
ReplyDeleteI'll have a look at your sew-a-long as it's always a learning experience seeing someone else's creations :D! Thanks for posting it.
Cheers,
Robyn
oh goodness....you see how lame i am at the blogging stuff still! it wasn't showing up so i assumed i was doing something wrong and here it linked it 3 times!! i'm really sorry! i'd try to fix it, but i'd probably just make it worse! i guess i really, really, really love the skirt!
ReplyDeletewhich i do because i actually made 2 of them!
I have made two already! Thank you for doing the sewalong ;)
ReplyDeleteCome dress yourself in love, let the journey begin Revathi
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting the sew-a-long Anna. I tried to link but not sure that it worked. Anyway, I loved making the skirt and it's spurred me on to make other clothes for myself.
ReplyDeleteHope that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and that 2012 brings you happiness.
Marina :)
Thanks for the sew-along and linky party I really like my skirt. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing this! I haven't made my skirt yet, but I love gathering fabric ideas from everyone else's. :)
ReplyDeleteLove all the skirts and so great to see them on real people, not models.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so sorry I've missed the linky party :( Having lots of work and a bad cold sucks. Still, great to see all the skirts. And I'm still so happy I took part in this sew-along.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to venture into business with your sewing skills, it will be an advantage if you take classes. You should learn more about the terminologies used in sewing, equipment to be used, techniques, as well as how the business runs. You don’t want to go to a battlefield unprepared.
ReplyDeleteMy teenage daughter wanted to make a skirt. We had tried to sew together before, but it did not go well, so I pointed her to this tutorial and made myself available for questions.... She made a wonderful skirt and this past weekend took her confidince to another pattern, but returned to your instructions to put in the zipper.... thanks for the great sew along!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm quite late to the party, but here is my feeble attempt:
