Sewing

i forgot to blog about it

I’m sure you guys have heard about the new Fabric-by-Fabric One-Yard Wonders book by Rebecca Yaker & Patricia Hoskins, right?  Well, I got my copy, gosh, a couple months ago.  And I’ve got a project in it!  Pretty cool.  I’m just super excited to be a part of this really awesome book, and I’m not just saying that because I’m in it.  There’s 101 projects, yep, 101.  So if you’re into sewing, I definitely think this little (okay maybe it’s not so little) gem is well worth the moola.

Check it out sometime, there are tons of other awesome bloggers in there, so it’s really cool to flip through the biography pages, hey I know her!

[ha, I promise this is a crib sheet and not just a lump of fabric, just loved the way the light was coming in my room this morning]

I also made a crib sheet for my friend, she’s due at the beginning of April, so I’m making a crib set with quilt for her.  We picked out this awesome shot cotton, so soft and silky for the crib sheet.  Unfortunately it has some huge snags in it.  We decided to make it into a sheet anyway and make another one out of this purple Kona (sorry, totally blipped on the name of the color, it’s really pretty though).

[future binding for the quilt!]

I’ll show you the whole set up once it’s all said and done.  ðŸ™‚

I was fortunate to attend the release party (as I live in the area) & see/meet many of the book contributors & have them sign my book.
I think I see your project in one of the photos I took 🙂

one more thing…maybe I’m lame but I can’t figure out how to buy his fabric from his site. I’ll google around some more but if you have a way you like to buy it I would love to know. Thanks Anna.
