Ottobre Kids Magazine Giveaway! [closed]

4.23.2012

[This giveaway is now closed, thank you to those who entered!]

It's spring cleaning here and I went through my personal stash of good stuff and figured it would be a great time for me to share some Ottobre love with you all.

What's Ottobre you say?  Well, it's a Finnish magazine (written in English) that is loaded with patterns for kids from baby up to those tween years.  They also have a women's version, but both are published quarterly.

The awesome part is that the patterns are loaded with details, you could probably learn every garment sewing technique if you sewed your way through these magazines.  I'd say there for an intermediate type sewist, or someone who isn't afraid to try new things!  I had subscribed to the magazine a few years ago and have yet to complete a garment from the magazines, so I figured they might get a lot more love from one of you!  These magazine retail for almost $14 dollars a piece (and if you're curious you can purchase some here at Pink Chalk Fabrics).

Oh, and if you're digging the fabrics they use in the magazines, you can buy some at their etsy shop, they have a few magazines listed, too!

Please tell your friends to enter, tweet, blog, pin, facebook and spread the word!!

Ready to enter?

  • Two winners will be chosen, each will pick two (2) of their choice as shown (yep, I'm keeping one for myself, just for fun).  The first winner I draw gets first pick.
  • Just leave a nice comment!  One entry per person.  Please leave your email address in your comment. You can leave it in a format like this if you wish: anna [at] gmail [dot] com, it's up to you though, if you have your email listed in your blogger profile, that works too!.
  • Open to international entries.
  • Giveaway ends Wednesday, April 25th at 10pm (central time).

  10. My daughter (13 years old) and me are both great fans of ottobre, the womens version for me, the kids version for my daughter. Yes, it's one of the "more expensive" sewing mags, but they're investments, good basic patterns. I would like to win a few extra issues, or even one would be nice.

  192. Anna,
Your blog is the first sewing/crafting blog I ever came across and I just want you to know you're such an inspiration to me! All your posts, ideas and tutorials are so fun and crafty and I'm always finding new things I want to try. I grew up sewing and mostly make clothing for myself but I just had my first baby (a little boy :) and would love to make him some of the super cute clothing from the Ottobre magazines.
    Thanks again!

  196. I've never seen this magazine in person but I have heard great things! Last year I found an 80's Burda magazine randomly show up in a local thrift store. What a mess to trace! But from the looks of one of your photos, the pattern papers seems very organized. They look like some cute (and timeless) designs!
