Hmm, where to start? If you’re looking for something genuine in blogland, you can be sure that genuine is what you’ll get with Vanessa.
She’s one of the very few bloggers I’ve meet in real life, twice no less! She truly amazes me. Her creativity truly comes from within. It’s really refreshing to be around her and hear her stories. We had a blast (okay, maybe it was just me) putting on binding on her’s daughter’s quilt. She was so funny, she’s not one to follow someone else’s rules — she makes her own. Sorry if this sounds sucky uppy or whatnot, it’s really what I realized about her after we last met, and that’s really cool. So this is her book, and I feel really honored to be able to give away a signed copy of it right here, today.
Make it Sew Modern has a ton of great projects that you can make your own. If I had my choice, I would have made this lovely pleated pillow, I know the magic of a good pillow. Do you?

It looks like a really cool book, I have been planning on buying it but am waiting to see if I get it for my birthday. It is fun to hear your persepective on what she is like in person. We plan on camping next week but don’t really have any big vacation plans. I kind of like it that way :). Thank you for the giveaway! Andrea2207@ yahoo.com

I’d love to get my hands on this book. I love following Vanessa’s blog. She is one creative girl. Our summer is very low key this year ~ we have a few days trips planned and maybe a trip to the Seattle area to start scouting our possible future move. Thanks for the chance.
Thanks for the giveaway! The book likes like fun! As for summer plans… cleaning, cooking and sewing, with a few trips to see family!

Great book! We’re headed to Chicago (where we lived for three years, and both boys were born) in July. Can’t wait to see our friends again! footprint13@gmail.com
I have two fun things to look forward to in July! First, an internet friend and her hubby are coming to visit (we’ve met once before), and second, if all works out, I’ll get to meet another pretty famous internet friend! I’m excited!
I’ve followed Vanessa for some time and love her designs and ideas. What a great giveaway. If I don’t win I’ll have to buy it. Love the pleated pillow. I was just looking at my living room and realized all the things that made my living room look mismatched were gone so don’t need to paint – I just need some pillows and maybe a wall hanging to put it all together.
Looks like an awesome book! As for summer plans: my husband and I along with two other couples are bringing our babies to Wisconsin Dells for their first big trip! Should be a good time!
This is my birthday week, and I’m turning 30 on Friday! Wahoo! No major plans, just taking our almost 2 year old to an air show this weekend. He is obsessed with airplanes. Thanks for the fun giveaway:)

I would love to get my hands on this book! I got a new sewing machine last month and then I had a baby 4 days later so I’m dying to really get in there and use it. As for plans for the summer, I’m thinking I’ll just continue to adjust to having 4 kids 🙂

Oooh. I have lots of summer project aspirations but I suspect a great many of them will be derailed by the imminent arrival of baby #2. Nonetheless, I hope to at least make a baby blanket or two, and maybe some plush toys.
