Today I'm sharing the Sweet Memories Photo Frame project designed by Ayumi Takahashi. It's a super big honor to be sewing up Ayumi's design. If you've been hiding under a rock, you can find Ayumi's blog Pink Penguin right here.
I was really surprised by this project! It was fun to make, my girls picked out the patchwork fabrics and it didn't take more than an hour to make. Luckily I had all the supplies on hand. If you're not into much crafting, you'll need chipboard and spray adhesive and a glue gun. I think it's the first time I used any of those supplies in a year or more.
So that's a good thing for those who don't want to sit at the sewing machine all day. It requires a fair amount of hand sewing, so it would be fun to take along on a road trip and then bring home and finish later.
Okay, don't stop there! You have a chance to win a pack of awesome threads from Aurifil. I've been using Aurifil for almost a year now, and it's amazing. I've got 5 packs to give away.
Just leave me a comment to enter! [Giveaway now closed, thanks for entering!]
- One entry per person. Please leave your email address in your comment. You can leave it in a format like this if you wish: anna [at] gmail [dot] com, it's up to you though, if you have your email listed in your blogger profile, that works too!
- I'll close comments on Thursday August 23rd and pick winners.
And if you are making the Sweet Memories Photo Frame this week, don't forget to post a photo of your finished project in the Flickr pool and link it up to Lindsey's blog, LR Stitched, for a chance to win a $75 gift certificate to the Fat Quarter Shop. WOW!! Can I enter Lindsey? :)
A big thanks to the Zakka Style Sew Along sponsors as well:

Now get sewing!
