Someone's hiding in the pampas grass.
The last of our raspberries ready to be eaten.
Neighbor's wood pile.
Lastly, we have two apple trees in our yard, combined they produced one apple this year, yes one. Usually there are so many, but with the crazy weather this spring and summer it just didn't happen. So we were in awe of this one apple, carefully leaving it on the tree so it ripened. Until the other day when I went to check on it, and found it in the grass - being eaten by the ants. Hmph.

blasted ants!
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are gorgeous. I just look at them and think "Quilt. Quilt. Quilt." - each one perfectly captures the beauty of natural colour!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love the Midwest, it always puts on the best Fall show :) PS - How dare those ants!!
ReplyDeleteLucky ants! What gorgeous photos. At first I saw 'pajama grass'-- made me laugh. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely pics Anna - especially your daughter hiding in the grass! And boo to those greedy ants having a party on your apple!!

ReplyDeleteOh no. Bad ants! Hey, we have 2 baby apple trees. I wonder if there are any apples? We planted our orchard in an out-of-the-way place so we often forget about it.... That's so bad!
ReplyDeleteThose ants must have been eyeing it off too! They just got up earlier than the human population at your house one day! You've just got to laugh at life some days don't you.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the apple :( That figures...darn ants!
ReplyDeleteLove the grass and wood shots, and Natalie too. I sure miss having a real fall - Kansas was wonderful during that season. Love fall in the midwest!! Thanks for sharing, as always Anna.
