more open wide pouches

I made these little lovelies before Christmas for the teachers.  A trio of my Open Wide Pouches. It was fun picking out different fabrics I thought they would like.  I love making these pouches, there are so many possibilities.

I did change the gusset width on two of the pouches so the little notebooks I bought for inside would fit a little better.  I made the small version if anyone cares to know, and just used a 3″ gusset instead of the 3.5″, it just makes the pouch a little taller overall and a teensy bit less wide.

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to include the little notebooks and a pen (love those sharpie pens).  Just some useful stuff to throw in a purse or whatever.

It made me feel a little better to just be able to say thank you for all their hard work.  They put so much into what they do, and we all appreciate it.

Zippers are 10″ organic cotton tape from ZipIt.  Fabrics: Lucy’s Crabshack (navy/white floral), Kei for Yuwa purchased at SewFreshFabrics on etsy (green/blue floral), Out to Sea (purple floral) by Sarah Jane Studios.

Oh, those look lovely. I made 10 of these pouches myself for Christmas presents! It’s a great vessel for hiding little extras like gift cards or nail polish, etc. Thanks so much for the pattern!

Great idea for teacher presents! My MIL is a teacher and she tells me all the time that she has more mugs than she has space for them, so this is a wonderful alternative :)

Cute bags! Those are some lucky teachers! My daughter is an art teacher for first and second grade. It’s always nice when someone shows appreciation for their very hard work. BTW…where did you find the cute notebook? My daughter would love one of those.

This is such a sweet gift! I’m a teacher & I’d love to get one of these. I’m actually making my daughter’s teachers each a little cutie pouch from your tutorial. Who doesn’t love a handy little zippered bag?
