Martha Stewart’s Favorite Crafts for Kids: Book Review & Giveaway!!!

[Thanks for entering the giveaway, it is now closed.]

I was contacted a few weeks ago asking if I was interested in reviewing the bookMartha Stewart’s Favorite Crafts for Kids.  I don’t think I could have said yes faster.  My girls are getting a bit older so it’s fun to include them in choosing projects and getting creative.  As much as I love to be online and find projects that way, there’s definitely that fun quality of all sitting together paging through a book of fun projects geared for kids! (and seriously, my seven year old loves to sit down with the book and starts projects on her own even!)  Most of the projects use supplies that I have already, so that’s such a huge relief.  I love making things, but having to run to the store for this and that just isn’t that great.

Natalie picked out these cute little egg projects and Emily wanted to try the friendship bracelets.  Yes and yes.  A little patience and lots of help and this is what we ended up with:

Even though they picked these I spotted so many different projects to try.

So anyway, I really like Martha Stewart’s Favorite Crafts for Kids.  Super colorful, great pictures!  I wish some of the projects had more illustrated step by steps, but overall I think it’s a great resource.  The only other thing I noticed was that it would be nice to have an age recommendation for each of the projects.  Sometimes it can be difficult to judge if a project is age appropriate.  I really enjoyed how they have the chapters set up.

A perfect teacher’s gift, for parents or grandparents.  Wouldn’t it be perfect for a birthday present, maybe put it in a tote bag with some craft supplies?  Or maybe you could do a birthday party and select a few crafts to make as a group?  Ideas = endless.  Awesome sauce.

Also, check out new crafts for kids video collection, maybe you and your children would have fun watching the crafts being made by other kids?!

[links to the book are amazing affiliate links, just means that if you purchase a book using my link, I’ll get a small kickback from Amazon, you know, to buy my kids shoes or something]

Now on to the giveaway part.  I’m giving away one copy of the book plus a pack of suprises from the Martha Stewart Crafts Collection

We have a few day outings planned for the remainder of the summer (special garden visits, off the wall ice cream places that take forever to get to, and soccer games to round out our evenings). I have twin three year olds and a seven year old that love to craft – I’ve saved many of the old Martha kids magazines, so many great ideas. This book would be well loved in our housebold. heidiabc@cinci.rr.com

My kids are doing a few camps, were spending time with cousins, and lots of swimming at the local pool this summer.
