Never enough drawstring bags, especially when they’re made from the cutest fabric ever. I heart how quick they come together. If you’ve got one (or several) under your belt, the next million you decide to make are a snap. And yes, there will be a million. This is Jeni’s Lined Drawstring Bag pattern, both in Everything Bag size.
I made these two in addition to the Tiny version I made at camp. I finished the one and quickly made the other when I got home. I had gotten the panda fabric at Sewing Summit 2012 and the hippo fabric (from Cotton Blue on etsy) way before that – and, wait for it, I checked, it was in 2009!!! It was time.
I think I’ll try to get a few more made in time for Christmas!
And finally, I drew the winner of the Journey e-book giveaway. Congrats to jules mcnubbin, I sent you an email!
Thanks again to all who entered. If you didn’t win a copy, you can purchase the book here. Or buy the individual patterns on Ravelry!

Both very cute, and glad I’m not the only one holding on to things for a long time for the perfect project :oD

Super cute, Anna!! Happy Holidays to you and your family!:)
Exactly what I needed today! Saw your post, bought the pattern, made the bags.
Thanks so much!
I am so loving those bags. I wish I had loads of cute fabric to play with!
Liked your bags so much that I had to go pin the pattern. Who knows – I might need to buy myself a New Year’s present!
I love to know that you have unused fabric from 2009! These are awesome! I haven’t made any draw string bags yet. Maybe I should?!?
They look amazing! The fabric is a dream! What are you use this bags for?
